Showtime’s American Gigolo will premiere on Crave this Friday, September 9.

A present-day re-imagining of the iconic 1980 film, American Gigolo stars Jon Bernthal (We Own This City, The Walking Dead) in this eight-episode series that will be streamed each Friday on Crave (beginning September 9) and then also air on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT beginning September 11 on their broadcast channel.

The series follows Julian Kaye (Bernthal) after his wrongful conviction release from 15 years in prison as he navigates his complicated relationships with his former lover, Michelle (Gretchen Mol, Boardwalk Empire), his troubled mother, and the people who betrayed him. While Julian struggles to reconcile the escort he was in the past and the man he is today, Detective Sunday (Rosie O’Donnell) seeks the truth about the murder that sent Julian to prison all those years ago, unearthing a much larger conspiracy along the way.

The series also stars Lizzie Borcheré (Falling Water) as Isabelle – the heiress to a ring of sex workers; Gabriel LaBelle (Dead Shack) as Johnny – a younger Julian; Leland Orser (Ray Donovan) as Richard Stratton – a self-made tech billionaire. Guest stars include Wayne Brady (Let’s Make A Deal), Alex Fernandez (Runaways), Yolanda Ross (The Chi), Melore Walters (Pen15), and Canadian Sandrine Holt (24).
