Kristoff St. John passed away last week at the age of 52. He was known to television audience for his portrayal of Neil Winters on The Young and the Restless for 28 years.

St. John’s peers in the acting community and fans have come together on social media since the news of the actor’s tragic passing was revealed. Some key readings on St. John’s legacy: New York Times’ “As Neil Winters, Kristoff St. John Was a Cornerstone in a Corner Office” and The Grio’s “The Kristoff St. John Effect: How his soap narratives paved the way for ‘Empire’ characters and Sterling K. Brown.”

Y&R was able to throw together a in memoriam tribute card for the end of the episode that aired on Tuesday, February 5 (in Canada; Wednesday, Feb. 6 in the U.S.), as well as a video tribute with the actor that aired in Canada on Thursday, February 7 (in Canada; Friday, Feb. 8 in the U.S). The Young and the Restless has announced that they will pay tribute to Kristoff St. John and his character, Neil Winters, with a storyline that will begin airing this April.

This week on The Young and the Restless: Jack (Peter Bergman) defends Kyle (Michael Mealor) on Monday (February 11; Canadian airdates listed). Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) covers her tracks. 

On Tuesday (February 12), Cane (Daniel Goddard) struggles with the past. Summer (Hunter King) charms Kyle. 

Nick (Joshua Morrow) plays games with Phyllis on Wednesday (February 13). Jack romances Kerry (Alice Hunter). Sharon (Sharon Case) cracks under pressure. 

A dangerous alliance is exposed on Thursday (February 14)!

Also this week: Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) celebrate Valentine’s Day. Things get tense between Mia (Noemi Gonzalez) and Abby (Melissa Ordway). Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) declares his love for Sharon (Sharon Case).

New Character: Y&R has cast Brytni Sarpy in the new contract role of Elena Dawson. The actress is coming off a four-year stint on General Hospital where she played Valerie Spencer. According to Soap Opera Digest, Sarpy will begin taping The Young and the Restless beginning this week.
