Suits spin-off Pearson has landed on W Network in Canada and will premiere this summer.
Based on Gina Torres’ popular Suits character Jessica Pearson, the series is developed by Suits creator and executive producer Aaron Korsh. Pearson will centre around Torres’ Pearson, who has been disbarred in New York, as she adjusts to the world of the dirty politics in Chicago. “Newly appointed as Chicago Mayor Bobby Novak’s (Homeland’s Morgan Spector) right-hand fixer, Jessica is quickly embroiled in a crooked and dangerous new world where every action has far-reaching consequences. With her compulsion to win, Jessica is forced to reconcile her unstoppable drive with her desire to do the right things – two things very much at odds.”
The series will also star Bethany Joy Lenz (One Tree Hill), Simon Kassianides (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Eli Goree (Riverdale), Isabel Arraiza (The Oath) and Chantal Riley (Wynonna Earp).
Pearson’s first season will consist of ten episodes. USA Network has yet to announce a premiere date for Pearson or when Suits will return for its final season – in Canada, Suits airs on Bravo.
