FX hit What We Do in the Shadows is back for its second season this Wednesday, April 15 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on FX and FX Now.
Based on Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi’s film of the same name, the series follows the nightly exploits of a crew of vampire roommates in Staten Island including Kayvan Novak’s Nandor the Relentless, Matt Berry’s Laszlo, Natasia Demetriou’s Nadja, alongside Harvey Guillén’s Guillermo (Nandor’s “familiar”) and “energy vampire” Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch). Guest stars for the new season include Craig Robinson and Mark Hamill.
What We Do in the Shadows’ second season was filmed in Toronto last fall. The new season will have a double-episode premiere where Nadja and Laszlo’s new familiar poses problems for an increasingly anxious Guillermo, while the vampires later hold a séance to deal with a ghost infestation.
The rest of this season will see the roommates try to find their way in a world of human Super Bowl parties, internet trolls, as well as all the witches, and zombies who roam freely in the Tri-State area.
Immediately following the two-episode premiere of What We Do in the Shadows, FX and FX Now will premiere the new limited series Mrs. America starring Cate Blanchett at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
Canadians can catch up with the first season of What We Do in the Shadows on the FX Now app. Both FX and FX Now are available for a free preview on most Canadian carriers through May 11.
