Saturday Night Live Returns for 48th Season

Saturday Night Live returns for its 48th season this Friday, October 1 with host Miles Teller (“Top Gun: Maverick”) and musical guest Kendrick Lamar.

“The Banshees of Inisherin” star Brendan Gleeson is scheduled to host on October 8 with musical guest Willow, while the October 15 episode will feature Megan Thee Stallion pulling double duty as both host and musical guest.

Returning for the new season are “Weekend Update” anchors Micheal Che and Colin Jost, along with repertory players Mikey Day, Chloe Fineman, Heidi Gardner, Edo Nwodim, Cecily Strong, Kenan Thompson, and Bowen Yang.

Featured players returning this season include Andrew Dismukes, James Austin Johnson, Punkie Johnson, and Sharah Sherman. Newcomers include Marcello Hernandez, Molly Kearney, Michael Longfellow, and Decon Walker.

The new season is being called a “transition year,” following the exits of Aidy Bryant, Pete Davidson, Kate McKinnon, Kyle Mooney, Alex Moffat, Melissa Villaseñor, Aristotle Athari, and Chris Redd.

Saturday Night Live airs Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT on Global and STACKTV. Episodes are available to stream the following day on the Global TV website, app and STACKTV. SNL airs on NBC and Peacock in the U.S. at 11:30 p.m. ET with episodes streaming on Peacock the following day.
