The series finale of Entertainment Tonight Canada has been set for Friday, October 6, 2023, at 7:30 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT on Global.
On September 27, Corus Entertainment released a statement about the future of Entertainment Tonight Canada: “After more than 18 incredible seasons, we are ending production of Entertainment Tonight Canada. The costs of producing a daily entertainment newsmagazine show in a challenging advertising environment have led to this decision. We recognize the impact this decision has on the dedicated team who have worked on the show, and we thank them for their meaningful contributions over the years.
A spin-off of the American newsmagazine Entertainment Tonight, ET Canada premiered on Global on September 12, 2005, with original co-anchors Cheryl Hickey and Rick Campanelli, reporting on the latest entertainment news with a Canadian lens and providing in-depth coverage of some of the biggest moments and events in pop culture.
Over the years, ET Canada also gave pop culture fans special programming through extended long-form interviews with stars like Michael Bublé, Katy Perry, and Carrie Underwood, the ET Canada New Year’s Eve Bash from 2008-2015, ET Canada Live across Facebook and YouTube, Pride and Indigenous specials, as well extended set visits – with the most recent celebrating The Young and the Restless’ 50th anniversary.
ET Canada cancellation leaves CTV’s eTalk as the only Canadian entertainment newsmagazine.

Entertainment Tonight Canada also streams on the Global TV app, GlobalTV.com, and on STACKTV.
