2024 may soon be over, but some of the best titles from this year’s Toronto International Film Festival are still on their way to theatres and streaming services in the new year: All of You, Friendship, William Tell, Relay, Bonjour Tristesse.
All of You
In a near-future where love is predetermined, two best friends risk everything for a chance at true love. All of You stars Brett Goldstein (Ted Lasso)and Imogen Poots (28 Weks Later). Directed by William Bridges (Soulmates)and written by Bridges and Goldstein. No information as of yet for a full theatrical or streaming release.
William Tell
In the 14th century, the serene Swiss landscape becomes a battleground as the Austrian Empire seeks expansion. William Tell stars Claes Bang (Bad Sisters), Jonathan Pryce (Slow Horses), and Rafe Spall (Trying). Written and directed by Nick Hamm (Driven). Will be released in the UK on January 10, 2025.

Friendship
When new neighbour Brian threatens his quiet life, Craig Waterman struggles to protect his family’s security. Friendship stars Tim Robinson, Paul Rudd, and Kate Mara. Written and directed by Andrew DeYoung (PEN15). The film was acquired by A24 but a release date has not been set.
Bonjour Tristesse
A young woman, Cécile, spends the summer in a villa in the south of France with her widowed father, Raymond and his latest love interest, Elsa. Their lives become increasingly complicated with the arrival of family friend Anne. Bonjour Tristesse stars Claes Bang (Bad Sisters), Lily McInerny (Tell Me Lies), and Chloë Sevigny (Big Love). No wide release date as of yet.
Relay
A reclusive middleman for would-be whistleblowers who are looking to settle with corporate wrongdoers. Relay stars Riz Ahmed (Sound of Metal), Lily James (The Iron Claw), and Sam Worthington (Avatar). Bleecker Street has acquired the film and plans on releasing it in 2025.
