Grosse Pointe Garden Society and Running Point were two new great shows that premiered at the end of February. The recent Deli Boys is a must-stream along with Dope Thief, Good American Family and The Studio coming later this month. Some great films hitting streaming services this month include the Academy Award-winning Anora and Bring Them Down.

Grosse Pointe Garden Society

Grosse Pointe Garden Society follows four members of a suburban garden club, as they get caught up in murder and mischief, as they strive to flourish.

Starring Aja Naomi King (How to Get Away with Murder), Melissa Fumero (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), AnnaSophia Robb (The Carrie Diaries), Ben Rappaport (Mr. Robot) and Matt Davis (The Vampire Diaries).

Grosse Pointe Garden Society airs Sundays at 10 p.m. on NBC and Citytv. Canadians can also stream on Citytv+.

Running Point

When a scandal forces her brother to resign, Isla Gordon (Kate Hudson) is appointed president of the Los Angeles Waves, one of the most storied professional basketball franchises, and her family business. Ambitious and overlooked, Isla will have to prove to her skeptical brothers, the board, and the larger sports community that she was the right choice for the job, especially in the unpredictable, male-dominated world of sports.

Starring alongside Hudson are Scott MacArthur, Drew Tarver, Brenda Song, Chet Hanks, and Jay Ellis with appearance from Max Greenfield and Justin Theroux. The series is produced by Mindy Kaling and is based on Jeanie Buss of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Running Point premiered on February 27 on Netflix.

Deli Boys

When their convenience store-magnate father suddenly dies, a pair of pampered Pakistani-American brothers lose everything and are forced to reckon with their father’s secret life of crime as they attempt to take up his mantle in the underworld.

Deli Boys stars Asif Ali (Wandavision), Saagar Shaikh (Ms. Marvel), and Poorna Jagannathan (Never Have I Ever). Season one is now available in Canada on Disney+.

Better Man

Better Man chronicles the meteoric rise, dramatic fall, and remarkable resurgence of British pop superstar Robbie Williams.

The film begins streaming Tuesday, March 11 on Paramount+ in Canada.

Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney

A new weekly celebrity chat show with John Mulaney. Premieres Wednesday, March 12 at 10 p.m. ET on Netflix, with Michael Katon, Fred Armisen, Joan Baez, and Cypress Hill.

Adolescence

When a 13-year-old is accused of the murder of a classmate, his family, therapist and the detective in charge are all left asking what really happened. Stars Ashley Walters, Owen Cooper, and Stephen Graham.

Adolescence premieres Thursday, March 13 on Netflix.

Top Chef

This season, 15 rising star chefs will compete for the highly sought-after title, across the diverse and vibrant culinary scenes and ingredients of Canada, highlighting Toronto, Calgary, Montreal, and Prince Edward Island for a chance to win the largest grand prize package in Top Chef history.

Premieres Thursday, March 13 at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo and streams on Hayu in Canada (at 10:15 p.m. ET)

Dope Thief

Based on Dennis Tafoya’s book, Dope Thief follows life-long Philly friends and delinquents who pose as DEA agents to rob an unknown house in the countryside, only to have their small-time grift become a life-and-death enterprise, as they unwittingly reveal and unravel the biggest hidden narcotics corridor on the Eastern Seaboard.

Dope Thief stars Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta), Wagner Moura (Civil War), and Kate Mulgrew (Star Trek: Voyager). Begins streaming on Apple TV+ on Friday, March 14.

Anora

A young escort from Brooklyn meets and impulsively marries the son of a Russian oligarch. Once the news reaches Russia, her fairy tale is threatened as his parents set out for New York to get the marriage annulled.

The Oscar-winning Anora stars Mikey Madison and will premiere on Prime Video on Tuesday, March 18.

Good American Family

A new limited series starring Ellen Pompeo (Grey’s Anatomy), Mark Duplass (The Morning Show) and Imogen Faith Reid, an adoptive family slowly begin to question who their adoptive daughter really is.

Good American Family premieres Wednesday, March 19 on Disney+ in Canada.

Ludwig

While seeking to unravel the mystery of his twin brother’s disappearance, reclusive puzzle-designer John ‘Ludwig’ Taylor takes on his twin brother James’s identity as DCI on Cambridge’s major crimes squad. The series stars David Mitchell, Anna Maxwell Martin, and Dipo Ola.

Ludwig premieres Thursday, March 20 on BritBox.

Laid

When men who dated the same woman are dying in unusual ways, Ruby (Stephanie Hsu) must come to terms with her complicated past. The Peacock series also stars Zosia Mamet and Michael Angarano. Guests include Simu Liu, Finneas O’Connell and Chloe Fineman.

Laid premieres Monday, March 24 at 9 p.m. ET on W Network in Canada and will also stream on STACKTV and the Global TV app.

Chelsea Handler: The Feeling

From ruining Thanksgiving to a wild summer fling, Chelsea Handler recounts coming of age, unexpected encounters, and that time she met Bill Cosby.

Chelsea Handler: The Feeling premieres Tuesday, March 25 on Netflix.

The Studio

Seth Rogen stars in Apple TV+’s highly anticipated The Studio as the newly appointed head of embattled Continental Studios. As movies struggle to stay alive and relevant, Rogen’s Matt Remick and his core team of infighting execs battle their own insecurities as they wrangle narcissistic artists and craven corporate overlords in the ever-elusive pursuit of making great films.

The Studio also stars Ike Barinholtz (The Mindy Project and co-creator of Running Point), Catherine O’Hara (Schitt’s Creek), and Kathryn Hahn (Agatha All Along). Premieres Wednesday, March 26.

The Conners

The final season of The Conners premieres Wednesday, March 26 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and CTV. Canadians can stream the series on the CTV app.

In the premiere, Darlene (Sara Gilbert) celebrates her promotion, hoping it will allow her to spend more time with Ben (Jay R. Ferguson). Meanwhile, Jackie (Laurie Metcalf) stumbles upon an opportunity to sue the pharmaceutical company responsible for Roseanne’s addiction, which sparks a family debate.

Bring Them Down

In Bring Them Down, an Irish shepherding family thrust into battle on several fronts: internal strife, hostility within the family, rivalry with another farmer. The film, which premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival last year, stars Barry Keoghan, Christopher Abbott, and Colm Meaney.

Bring Them Down begins streaming on Friday, March 28 on Mubi in Canada.

MobLand

Guy Ritchie’s MobLand, showcases two generations of gangsters, their businesses, the relationships they weave and the man they call to fix their problems.

Stars Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, Joanne Froggatt, and Paddy Considine. MobLand premieres Sunday, March 30 on Paramount+.
