While the Olympics dominate the daytime, primetime, and late-night slots, Weatherfield will still find its way into your living room immediately following the local evening newscast.
In most regions, this means a slight shift from its usual 7:00 p.m. slot to 6:30 p.m. local time (for example, in Toronto). Be sure to double-check your local listings, as the broadcast follows the evening news in your specific time zone.
Streaming on CBC Gem
If you prefer to watch on your own terms (it is 2026 after all) – or if the Olympic excitement has you glued to a different screen – you can continue to stream the daily episodes of Coronation Street on CBC Gem. New episodes are uploaded each evening, allowing you to keep up with the latest from the Rovers Return without being tethered to the TV broadcast schedule.
What’s Changing (Temporarily)
To make room for the extensive daily Olympic coverage, a few regular habits will have to go on a brief hiatus:
- Sunday Omnibus: The Sunday morning reruns are paused for the duration of the Games.
- Late Night Encores: The late-night repeat airings are also temporarily suspended.
