Alex Mack joins Hawaii Five-0, General Hospital star cast as new Angel and more

The Secret World of Alex Mack star Larisa Oleynik will join the cast of Hawaii Five-0 later this season. TV Line reports that our beloved Alex Mack will play the role of Jessica Kaye, an ex-CIA analyst who will be in pursuit of Wo Fat – the person responsible for the death of her fiancé. Although Oleynik will recur this season, the role could become a regular gig in Season 2.

Christopher Nolan has tapped Anne Hathaway to play Selina Kyle/Catwoman and Tom Hardy to play Bane in The Dark Knight Rises.

— After all those casting changes, NBC has decided to put Law & Order: Los Angeles on hiatus. This is good news for fans of Parenthood as the series will remain in its Tuesday 10 p.m. timeslot.

— Showtime has announced that Nurse Jackie and United States of Tara will return on Monday, March 28th. Both series will also return to The Movie Network and Movie Central.

— Remember former MuchMusic VJ Amanda Walsh? She’s been cast as the lead in Danni Lowinski, a pilot for The CW which is an adaptation of a German series about a hairdresser who is rejected by a number of law firms and starts up her own practice in a mall.

General Hospital’s Annie Ilonzeh (Maya) is the first angel cast in ABC’s new Charlie’s Angels pilot. Ilonzeh will play Kate, who’s a very smart and athletic ex-cop and a master of martial arts. Before joining GH as Maya last year, Ilonzeh guest starred on How I Met Your Mother and Melrose Place.

— Although Steve Carrell’s Michael will be leaving The Office earlier than planned, Ricky Gervais is slated to reprise his role as David Brent (from the original UK version) in next week’s episode.

Snooki and JWoww are rumored to be shooting a pilot for a Jersey Shore spin-off where they move in together. Pauly D has already signed on for his own spin-off deal with MTV.

— A video game based on The Walking Dead is reportedly in the works.

— The cast of Pretty Little Liars will be in Toronto next week and will appear on MuchMusic’s New.Music.Live. on Thursday (Jan. 27th at 5 p.m.). Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale and Shay Mitchell will give the scoop on ‘A’ and what’s in store for their characters.

— In perhaps due to the celebration of Alicia Silverstone’s pregnant, CosmoTV will air Clueless this Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m.
