— One of the greatest shows of our time, Breaker High is coming to MuchMusic this fall. The show that launched the career of Ryan Gosling will air weekdays at 2:30 p.m., following Clueless.
— How I Met Your Mother‘s executive producer, Rob Greenberg, is developing a new project for CBS about a twentysomething (Chris Smith of Paranormal Activity 3) who moves into a housing complex full where he befriends a group of divorced men after he gets left at the altar.
— Jonathan Rhys Meyers has been tapped to star in NBC’s Dracula. The 10-episode series will see Dracula relocate to Victorian London where he falls in love with a woman who could be his reincarnated wife. Starz is also developing a Dracula/Vlad series.
— MTV has renewed Awkward. (it airs on MuchMusic here) for a 20-episode third season.
— The CW has revealed a new promo and slogan, “TV Now.” I really miss those old WB promos.
— Looks like SNL’s Bill Hader enjoys The Californians‘ skits just as much as I do.
— As anyone who follows daytime soap news knows, the juiciest drama is always behind the scenes…the latest from the set of The Young and the Restless: Co-head writer Scott Hamner is out (he let his contract expire but Sony/Marie Bell are calling it a “sabbatical.”) And the scariest bit, looks like Sony wants the infamous Jill Farren Phelps to come on board as executive producer (along with Josh Griffith).
