Days of our Lives is pre-empted on Monday (September 3) for Labour Day, but new episodes will resume on Tuesday (September 4), where Paul’s (Christopher Sean) life hangs in the balance. Will (Chandler Massey) and Sonny’s (Freddie Smith) plans for the future hit a snag. Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) receives upsetting news about Steve (Stephen Nichols). Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) turns to someone unexpected for help.

John (Drake Hogestyn) anxiously waits for Marlena (Deidre Hall) to wake up post-surgery on Wednesday (September 5). Abigail (Marci Miller) confides in JJ (Casey Moss) that she thinks Gabi (Camila Banus) is out to get her. Stefan (Tyler Christopher) is faced with a tough choice. Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli (Lamon Archey) have a close moment while working together.

On Thursday (September 6), John finds Marlena in ciris as Valerie (Vanessa Williams) tries to save her life. Brady (Eric Martsolf) blasts Will when he overhears him declare his love for Sonny. Eli confesses his feelings to Lani. Gabi and Abigail have a major confrontation.

Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Brady try to support John, who’s deeply concerned about Marlena’s condition on Friday (September 7). Belle (Martha Madison) shares stunning news with Eric about their mother. Will tells Paul that he’s gotten his memory back. Bonnie (Judi Evans) drops a bomb on Lucas (Bryan Dattilo).
