Breakout Hulu series Ramy will finally make its Canadian debut when it premieres to Crave subscribers through the STARZ add-on.
The series stars Comedian Ramy Youssef as Army Hassan, a first-generation Egyptian-American who is on a spiritual journey in his politically-divided New Jersey neighbourhood. Ramy brings a new perspective to the screen as it explores the challenges of what it’s like to be caught between a Muslim community that thinks life is a moral test and a millennial generation that thinks life may not really have any consequences.
Ramy premiered its 10-episode first season on Hulu this past April and was renewed for a second season on May 1. Fans of HBO’s Succession will recognize Hiam Abbass as Ramy’s mother, Maysa.
The first season of Ramy will be made available to Crave subscribers with the STARZ add-on beginning September 15.
