Canada Shore Roommates Talk Grilled Cheese and the “I Hated Her at First” Drama (Exclusive)

canada shore interview first impressions and grilled cheese

Just like the original Jersey Shore series, Canada Shore brings together 10 larger-than-life roommates from coast to coast onto the sun-soaked shores of Kelowna, B.C. They’re ready to party, flirt, and turn every night into a once-in-a-lifetime memory. But between all the hookups and hangovers, this wild crew becomes a family that laughs together, fights together, and supports each other.

In the second half of The TV Watercooler’s sit-down, we chat with the rest of the Canada Shore family: Emmet Watson (25, Vancouver), Emmy Sharpe (21, Fredericton), Isaiah Crawdford (26, Calgary), Keyaira Snow (23, Halifax), and Ryleigh Gregory (25, Bridgewater).

The “family” dynamic was put to the test early on, especially for Keyaira, who was shocked to find out she was the last person to enter the house after the group had already spent a night bonding over drinking games, including “Never Have I Ever.” While the crew initially struggled with first impressions – Emmett and Isaiah admitted they found Lila’s “privileged” first-day energy a bit much – they eventually warmed up the group’s deeper personalities. Emmy noted that Ethan was the biggest surprise, transforming from a reserved, monotone guy into a quick, witty character that the house came to love. Of course, the real shocker was the arrival of Snooki as their boss; while the whole house “lost it,” Emmet was outed as the ultimate fanboy, so starstruck he could barely get his words out before being put to work.

Life in the house was a whirlwind of bizarre snacks and questionable hygiene. From the legendary 3 a.m. grilled cheese line-up – often spearheaded by Emmet’s drunk alter-ego, “Chad” – to putting ketchup on an actual chip and the struggle to keep the “Type B” girls’ room clean, there was never a dull moment. The group also took a stand against the “polite Canadian” stereotype, with the cast crowning Christopher as the ultimate “douchebag” (in a funny way!) for his blunt honesty. As they wrapped up, the cast made it clear that Kelowna’s mountain-and-lake backdrop was the perfect stage for their chaos, though they’re already eyeing the party scenes of Montreal or Toronto for a potential Season 2 set elsewhere. Canada Shore is streaming on Paramount+.
