— Calm down. Ugly Betty is NOT cancelled. ABC is simply trying out a new comedic block with Samantha Who and In the Motherhood produced by Chelsea Handler and stars Cheryl Hines and Megan Mullaley. The big switch happens on March 26th. ABC explains that Betty was going to be in reruns anyway…yes but for how long? There’s no return date set for Betty so forgive us ABC for being a little worried. You’ve already taken away Dirty Sexy Money!

— ABC has also given the green light to Lauren Graham‘s return to television with Let It Go, where the former Lorelei Gilmore stars as a self-help guru and talk show host who doesn’t follow her own advice. Graham will also be busy on Broadway’s Guys and Dolls starting March 1st.

Amy Poehler‘s non-Office spin-off finally has a name: Parks & Recreation. The new series will premiere on NBC this April and will also star former Office actress Rashida Jones (ex-Karen).

— Last summer’s biggest TV star, Michael Phelps, was photographed smoking a marijuana pipe…British tabloid News of the World claims the photo was taken back in November at a party at the University of South Carolina. The drug is banned as an “in-competition” substance by the World Anti-Doping Agency so Phelps won’t be facing any penalties but he could lose a few of those endorsement deals. Phelps released the following statement: “I engaged in behavior which was regrettable and demonstrated bad judgment,” Phelps said in a statement. “I’m 23 years old and despite the successes I’ve had in the pool, I acted in a youthful and inappropriate way, not in a manner people have come to expect from me. For this, I am sorry. I promise my fans and the public it will not happen again.”
