Big Brother 21 Exit Interview: Tommy Bracco

How hard was it to play this game while keeping true to yourself and maintaining your integrity?

Surprisingly not that hard. My mother always says honesty is the best policy and that’s exactly what I did. I quickly learned there are no secrets in the house. If you say something to one person, you have to be comfortable saying it to the entire house. Operating by that rule made it a lot easier.

Why did you decide to reveal the big secret? If you could go back, would you still expose your relationship with Christie?

When Christie left the house, not only did I feel alone, but I learned she was everyone’s #1 target. I knew there was a four-person alliance and I was odd man out. I thought revealing my secret would help disassociate myself with her, let them in on my secret and explain why I did what I did. I should have known Michie would use the info against me and I do think telling him was a mistake.

What was your favourite moment in this season?

Seeing the flash mob. That was so cool!

Do you think you would have made it this far in the game if you didn’t have Christie in the house?

It’s a matter of perspective and there are two ways to look at it – being associated with Christie made me a target, but she was a bigger target so if she wasn’t in the house, I may have been exposed sooner.

Did you go into the house with a strategy? If so, did you follow through with that plan or did you play a different game?

Once I saw Christie in the house, everything changed and I had to totally adapt. My plan going into the house was to work with a big alliance and also align myself with a big target, and that was Jack.

How long have you been a big brother fan? How excited were you when you found out you would be on BB 21?

I was excited beyond words when I found out I was going to be in the house. This was the hardest thing I’ve ever done but it was a life changing experience. I am so thankful for all 86 days I spent in the house. All I can say is that every minute was a dream come true.

After spending the summer in the house, was there anything that you learned about yourself?

Yes. Towards the middle of my time in the house, I said I felt my light dimming. But towards the end, I realized it wasn’t my light dimming, it was me getting to the core of who I am. I am a burst of energy and that is part of me, but not all of me. I’m much more than that.

Are you going to watch back your season once everything is over?

Absolutely and I can’t wait! I have a feeling this may be my favorite season ever!
