Hulu abandons Community resurrection, 24 shocker and more

— TV Line is reporting that Hulu has abandoned talks to pick up Community, which NBC cancelled after five seasons.

— CBS has announced their fall premiere dates.

— Los Angeles is losing ground when it comes to pilot production. Only 44% of the 203 produced in the past 12 months were filmed in the LA-region, while the majority were filmed in New York, Vancouver, Atlanta and Toronto.

The O.C.’s Melinda Clarke will guest star on two episodes of Dallas later this summer. The actress will assume the role of Tracy Lawton, Bobby’s ex (Patrick Duffy) and daughter of Ewing’s rival Carter McKay. The second half of Dallas’ third season will premiere on August 18. Beth Toussaint originally played the role of Tracy in the 80s.

Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick Jr. and Ryan Seacrest will all be back on American Idol next season.

Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth are open to having Shannen Doherty guest star on their new series, Mystery Girls. The show actually premieres tomorrow night at 8:30 p.m. on ABC Spark in Canada.

— Despite blowing up the middle pitch at Wembley Stadium, President Heller made it out alive on 24: Live Another Day (there was NO silent clock the previous week, afterall). But the biggest shock came when Jack Bauer threw Lady Stark Margot out of the window. There are only three hours left, so that makes us wonder when the big time jump will happen…or if it’ll actually happen at all.
