The 2023 MTV VMAs to Stream for Free on Pluto TV in Canada and Air Live on MTV

Canadians will have two options to watch the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards on Tuesday, September 12 as the annual ceremony will stream live first the first time for free on Pluto TV in Canada.

The VMAs will also air on MTV for those with a cable subscription.

This year’s event will take place from New Jersey’s Prudential Center with the pre-show beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET and the award ceremony taking place at 8 p.m. ET.

Expected performers at the 2023 MTV VMAs include Anitta, Cardi B & Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, Fall Out By, Karol G, Kelsea Ballerini, Lil Wayne, Måneskin, Metro Boomin, Swae Lee, Nav, Future & A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Olivia Rodrigo, Peso Pluma, Stray Kids, Tomorrow X Together as well as host Nicki Minaj.

A special medley for the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop will feature DMC, Doug E. Fresh, Lil Wayne, LL Cool J, and Nicki Minaj.

Video Vanguard recipient Shakira and Global Icon recipient Diddy are also expected to perform.

Taylor Swift leads this year’s nominations, followed closely by SZA, Djoa Cat, Kim Petras, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo, Sami Smith, BLACKPINK, Diddy, and Shakira.

New category “Show of the Summer” features nominees Beyoncé, BLACKPINK, Drake, Ed Sheeran, Karol G, and Taylor Swift.

Up for “Video of the Year” are Doja Cat for “Attention,” Miley Cyrus for “Flowers,” Nicki Minaj for “Super Freaky Girl,” Olivia Rodrigo for “Vampire,” Sam Smith and Kim Petras for “Unholy,” SZA for “Kill Bill,” and Taylor Swift for “Anti-Hero.”

Canadians can stream Pluto TV for free, without registration or subscription at Pluto.TV and the Pluto TV app.
