global tv fall schedule 2018

Corus Entertainment announced this morning Global TV’s lineup for the 2018-2019 television season, including new seasons of Big Brother Canada and Mary Kills People, as well as pick-ups of FBI and New Amsterdam.

Global will premiere six new American series this fall: FBI (starring Canadian Missy Peregrym), New Amsterdam (with The Blacklist’s Ryan Eggold), The Neighborhood (Max Greenfield, Cedric the Entertainer), Happy Together (Damon Wayans, Jr.), I Feel Bad (produced by Amy Poehler and starring Sarayu Blue) and Dancing with the Stars: Juniors. New acquisition for midseason is Abby’s (starring Parks and Recreation’s Natalie Morales and from the producers of The Good Place).

Midseason will also include the returns of A.P. Bio, Man with a Plan, Elementary and Canadian shows Mary Kills People (season three) and Big Brother Canada (season seven). Big Brother: Celebrity Edition will also be back. Private Eyes was also picked up for a third season (the second half of season two is currently airing).

It appears they’ve acquired the Dancing with the Stars franchise – it has previously aired on both CTV and City TV in the past. Out of Dick Wolf’s “Chicago” franchise, only Chicago P.D. appears to be on the Fall schedule. We will update regarding the status of Chicago Med and Chicago Fire. Also dropped by Global is Sunday staple The Simpsons – no word yet if it’ll get picked up by City the same way Family Guy was picked up a few years back.

Entertainment Tonight and Entertainment Tonight Canada continue weekdays at 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. (except on Tuesdays, when NCIS: New Orleans is airing a new episode). The Late Show with Stephen Colbert continues to air weeknights at 11:35 p.m. NBC’s Days of our Lives and CBS’ The Young and the Restless continue airing weekdays, along with The Talk and The Rachael Ray Show.
